Founding Best Practice Energy as a one-man shop in 2010, CEO Bryan Yagoobian used his prior experience forming and maintaining both national & regional relationships as a P&L Consultant to build the company through developing and nurturing lasting relationships with both energy vendors & suppliers as well as his clients. Bryan’s mission was to create an energy consulting company that raised the bar on quality and service, ultimately delivering the most objective and competitive form of energy management and deregulation.
Today, Bryan continues to perform hands-on consulting with clients as well as serves as visionary leader with the goal of ensuring BPE is always ahead of the curve in technology, consulting tools, risk management, understanding & forecasting the market, and predicting/reacting to legislative & regulatory changes. His modern approach to energy consulting, cultivation of relationships with vendors, and commitment to customer experience are part of what keeps Best Practice Energy ahead of the pack.

A true veteran of the industry, Frank Salisbury has spent his entire career working in various facets of the energy world. Frank began his career with Algonquin Gas Pipeline constantly innovating processes in Gas Control, Transportation and Exchange, and eventually ending up in marketing where he dealt directly with LDCs. He then continued to work in natural gas marketing and trading with Coastal Gas Marketing, ultimately moving into various sales manager roles with retail suppliers Sprague Energy, and Hess Corporation, which is where he met Bryan. Bryan and Frank met through various energy deals and, in August of 2013, decided that Best Practice Energy provided a great opportunity for them to work together and blend their specific expertise to take the company to the next level.
As Executive VP of Sales, Frank is now involved with managing and directing the sales team as well as leverages his wealth of industry experience to help Bryan and the rest of the leadership team continuously build on the BPE offering and ensure the company’s goals are aligned and focused on the right path. Even with all his other duties, Frank still manages to consult directly with many customers to elevate their financial position through sophisticated energy management techniques.
Frank graduated Western Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Minor in Economics.

Michael Morin has served in the energy industry for over 25 years and has sold or consulted on billions of dollars worth of retail energy transactions in over 50 utilities in the ISO-NE, PJM, and NYISO areas. He has an extensive background in retail energy consulting developing procurement strategies and managing teams that provide highly technical advice to end-users. Michael began his energy career at Unitil working in various roles focused on managing their 300 MW and 2.5 BCF/yr electric and natural gas portfolios while also serving on numerous ISO-NE committees. He then worked in numerous sales positions with some of the nation’s leading energy supply companies including Constellation, NRG and NextEra.
As VP of Sales and Client Strategy, Michael is charged with managing the entire sales team, crafting energy cost-reduction strategies for Best Practice Energy’s clients and providing technical expertise to facilitate energy strategy execution. He has developed the buying algorithm used by BPE that identifies strategic purchasing opportunities in the energy markets on behalf of our clients.
Michael has degrees in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Maine.

Billy has been part of the Best Practice Energy team for nearly 6 years. He began his career as a Pricing & Sales Coordinator, eventually moving on to a role as Senior Market and Strategy Analyst. For the last 2 years, Billy has been the Director of Market Operations in charge of the entire Market Operations Team. In this role, he is responsible for maintaining BPE’s relationship with our supplier partners for both electricity and natural gas. Billy also oversees the solicitation of bids & pricing for large clients and works with the Senior Energy Advisors to develop strategies that minimize costs while achieving the business needs and objectives of clients. His team is also responsible for resolving all billing, enrollment, and contracting matters on behalf of BPE’s clients.
Billy has extensive experience pricing in numerous electricity ISOs, including New England, New York, Texas, and PJM. He has also successfully executed strategies for natural gas accounts nationally, including states like Indiana, Georgia, and Florida.
Billy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and a minor in Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Chris has been a part of the Best Practice Energy team since January of 2019. Chris began his career as a Senior Software Engineer working for an engineering analysis software company. Since that time, he has held a variety of roles in the software industry managing various application teams as well as working directly as a software engineer on numerous projects. Chris has extensive experience in a wide variety of programming languages, cloud and application integrations, automation, and much more.
In his current role of Director of Technology, Chris manages the Technology Team and is in charge of innovating the BPE Portal, optimizing the company’s sales processes within Salesforce, and ensuring all technology used by BPE employees is working at an optimum level. Chris has also been instrumental in introducing new types of software and technology for all teams to use that constantly improve operational efficiency. Although he hasn’t been with the team long, Chris has already made his mark as the oil that keeps the ship running smoothly.
Chris has a BS in Engineering Mechanics & Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison as well as an M.B.A from Northern Kentucky University.
